Netherlands-raised, Australia-based artist Wafia first surfaced on the release of Breathe In, a collaborative single with Melbourne’s Japanese Wallpaper, which was personally selected by Zach Braff for the official soundtrack to his 2014 feature Wish I Was Here alongside Bon Iver and Cat Power. This grand debut has set the tone for Wafia’s achievements, as her follow-up, a cover of Mario’s Let Me Love You has hit well over 3 million plays. Cited by Ta-ku as a major influence on his current work, Ta-ku is not only a huge fan but has also co-produced Wafia’s debut EP.
