by Johnny Loftus Hollywood pop-punks Orange signed with Hellcat Records while still in high school after getting the attention of label impresario/Rancid leader Tim Armstrong. The quartet's first appearance was on Give 'Em the Boot, Vol. 4 (the song "No Rest for the Weekend"), and the full-length Welcome to the World of... appeared in August 2005. Band personnel included transplanted Brits Joe Dexter Denman (vocals/bass) and Jack Berglund (guitar), as well as California-raised Zak Glosserman (drums) and Mike Valentine (guitar). Two years later, with Jon Dering taking over duties for Valentine, Orange released Escape from L.A.
